Since we have weddings on the brain, we almost died when we saw these stunning wedding invites from Ladyfingers Letterpress. If you know us at all, you know that we love neon, we love paper (and letterpress!), and we love Palm Springs decor. So these invites are pretty much the best thing we've seen all year.

More information on how these amazing invites were created can be found over here on Oh So Beautiful Paper.

I am still in awe over these beauties!

Spring Dresses: Feelin' Tropical

(Nasty Gal)

(New Look)
Today is a glistening 85 degrees here in New York. It's a reminder that summer is just around the corner. So I'm really loving the tropical trend I'm seeing in dresses. Don't they make you wanna be pool side with a delicious watermelon mojito? See more tropical prints here and Spring dresses here. :)

P.S. - Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for our Kickstarter launch - lots of fun prizes including a Max Wanger print and more!

Have a Dreamy Weekend!

It's sure to be a dreamy weekend! Liz, Charlie's mom is in town, and we have lots lined up for the weekend. We're thinking of going to the Whitney Biennial before it's too late. And grabbing brunch at Egg. Also, might have to grab a juicy steak at St. Anselm in Williamsburg that has been getting rave reviews. And if that doesn't work out, maybe Lil Frankies, which is my all-time fave restaurant for pasta.

How about you guys? Any fun weekend plans?

The Difficult Dinner Guest

I'll admit. I've fallen under the annoying dinner guest category. Only because I wasn't eating meat for so long. Host and hostesses would sweetly email me prior to events and ask "do you eat fish?" and to their relief, I would say yes. But here is a good article for all types of picky eaters. Now, if only we could do something about guests who poke their food. :)

Greek Eggs

Woah. How tasty does this Greek eggs dish look? Might have to wake up a wee bit earlier tomorrow to make them! :)

You can find the recipe here.

Have a Dreamy Weekend!

How cute is this photo? It made me smile. I'm also smiling because it's Friday and although I'll be working most of the weekend, I'm in good spirits because NY is sunny and there's a lot going on in the next couple of days. I'm seeing old friends, going to an Easter potluck and at some point, going to try and see this. What do you have going on this weekend?

And now some fun links!

Memoryhouse - "This Will Be Our Year" (The Zombies cover) by Pretty Much Amazing (I have been listening to this on repeat)

We've updated our inspiration board for our upcoming film, After the Wedding, on Pinterest.

I wish I could wear this to the Easter dinner I'm going to on Sunday.

I got these DVDs recently and it's my new fave workout.

Writing advice from C.S. Lewis.

Fish in Pictures. I love this so much.

You've probably already seen this as it's getting reblogged a lot, but I still think it's funny. This too.

If I had a cat, I'd buy this in a heartbeat.

Gorgeous eggs.

Remember prom?

Have a lovely weekend! ♥

Modern Manners

A few nights ago, I was having a conversation with one of my best friends regarding modern day manners. She had recently sent out a dinner party invitation and only two people, myself included, had replied. My friend is really sweet and she throws amazing dinners, parties, events and pretty much any sort of get-together. She is the kind of host who makes beautiful flower arrangements, bakes everything from scratch, and has an acute attention to detail. If she invites you over, you should want to go. In fact, if you already have plans, you should change them and go to whatever it is she's doing instead.

I understand things come up and people have other commitments. Totally natural. But since when did not replying to personalized invitations become acceptable? I, too, recently invited friends out to a bar for a little reunion. Some of them emailed me back saying they couldn't make it. Some didn't reply at all. Despite telling myself that it was probably because they were swamped at work, I was still hurt.

I understand people get busy, but when someone invites you to something, I think it's only common courtesy to let them know whether or not you can make it. Has the use of social media, like Facebook event invites for example, made us more inconsiderate?

What do you think? When someone sends you an invitation, do you respond even if to let the host know you can't make it? Or if you're the host, how do you deal with non-responders? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

New Woody Allen Film: To Rome With Love

Woody Allen's newest film, To Rome With Love, opens April 22nd. We've always been huge fans and  can't wait to see this.

Scandal aside, are you a fan of Woody Allen? What's your fave film? (I think mine is a toss up among Annie Hall, Love and Death, and Sleeper.)

Comfort Food: Fried-Zucchini Spaghetti

Fried-Zucchini Spaghetti
Alex enjoying said spaghetti :)
Last night was rainy and dreary here in NYC so I was in the mood for some hearty pasta. I came across Gwyneth Paltrow's recipe for Fried-Zucchini Spaghetti and decided to give it a whirl. Peppery, cheesy, with a bit of crunch from the fried-zucchini, and only 30 min to make - I highly recommend! See the delicious recipe here. :)
